tictoc platforms ltd. is a registered company in Ireland as a 3rd party energy services provider. tictoc’s core focuses on Information Based Energy Management (IBEM) applications for the smart-grid economy. tictoc used design thinking methods and behavioral science along with BIG DATA in product refinement. We secured investment from Enterprise Ireland and private investors.

User Insight

Over periods of time tictoc gathered insights from diverse user groups that outlined different type of user needs and desires. We gave them (diverse personas and social categories) the tool and explained how the platform worked, the interface and service features derived from these studies. An interesting fact that arose; ‘Once you start paying an energy bill, you never stop, however your habits, desires and needs change over the course of your life … …’

Academic Collaboration

Since 2012, using an innovation voucher, tictoc have analysed masses and masses of data with Brett Houlding in the Department of Computer Science and statistics, Trinity College Dublin.
